When There is Nobody To Help

“A man who has friends must show himself friendly, and there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother” (Proverbs 18:24).

An exposition on the healing of the disabled man, Diverting from the question of whether he would need to be healed, the disabled man said he had no man to help him into the pool when it was stirred up by an angel. So he had to remain in that terrible condition for that long period. The most painful thing was that others who had people were assisted in receiving healing. The man had no one, but one day, divine help came to him.

Admittedly, nobody can succeed in life without one form of assistance/help or the other from fellow men. The support may be financial, moral, spiritual, political, employment, advice, protection, etc. Psalm 121 provides the solution to those in the same shoes with the disabled man, “My help comes from the LORD, who made heaven and earth” (v.2).

God will help you when there is no one to help you, including your wealthy and very capable siblings. He can raise very distant people, total strangers, to help you with money, job, contract, admission, school fees, clothing, shelter, hospital bills, etc.

JESUS is a friend who sticks closer than a brother (Prov.18:24).

God will help you out as He did to the crippled-man. If you were not born with a silver spoon, God could help you to acquire it, if you desire it. God specializes in raising the poor, the needy and the orphans from the dust and ash heap, to set them among the nobles, (1 Sam 2:7; Psalms 113:7-9). He did it for Joseph, Esther, and many others.

He will also do it for you. Have faith in the word of God, repent of your sin, be humble, serve Him with all your heart and pray effectively, then the mysterious God will help you in mysterious and miraculous ways to succeed in life. God shall send you help from His throne in the nick of time in JESUS’ Name.

PRAYER: Lord, send me help in my time of need. Amen.

When there is no one to help you, God is always there to help you.
