The Principle of Total Surrender

The principle of total surrender is about letting go of yourself. Letting go of your abilities, your muscles, and submit everything to the father. You are laying down your all to him, letting him take over, letting him be the captain and the pilot of your life and destiny. It is emptying yourself and embracing an experience beyond the scope and the capacities of our infirmities as mere men.

Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do

not depend on your understanding. As believers, when we try to keep the balance between our life here on earth – our physical nature and our walk with God- we discover that there are limitations that are domiciled within us as we wear the coats of flesh. We find out our weaknesses and our incapabilities. All these are attestation that God himself made us bags of insufficiency. He made us insufficient to seek Him the ALL SUFFICIENT ONE. He made us weak so that we can seek and draw from his pool of grace for capacity and strength.

In the course of total surrender, we seek alignment with God’s will for our lives.

All these are signs that we need help every day of our lives, but most people never cry and ask the Lord for help until it’s too late. It’s our everyday prayers and supplication that we ask for help and strength in our lives. On our own, we can do nothing.

John 5:30.

The word for meditation

So too the [Holy] Spirit comes to our aid and bears us up in our weakness; for we do not know what prayer to offer nor how to offer it worthily as we ought, but the Spirit Himself goes to meet our supplication and pleads in our behalf with

unspeakable yearnings and groaning too deep for utterance. Romans 8:26
