As Believers, we must understand that our walk with God is a journey. So it is imperative to keep renewing our minds in God’s word (Romans 12:1) to be FULLY transformed into His IMAGE.

Developing Gods Image – The Process

PEACE

This is the lack of worry or fear of uncertainty. When we experience true peace, nothing seems to faze us. Despite the commotion happening all over the world, we just know there is a Greater Being, a Greater force living in us. 1 John 4:18 “There is no fear in love, but perfect love cast out fear. But he who fears has not been made perfect in Love. Remember the last time we said without love we can’t express the other fruit of the Spirit. Our love has to be genuine for us to experience TRUE peace. Where there is love, there is no fear. The root of worry is fear. When we have no worries, we experience PEACE.

The New Man – Your life exudes calm, and peace, all kinds of burdens are lifted from you (Mathew 11:28). You are no longer scared or worried about the future. You no longer fear even death.

The Old Unregenerate Man – You are an epitome of worry, you worry about every little thing even the irrelevant stuff. You live in fear and panic every day of your life. The devil has you by the crotch.

PATIENCE

This is also Long-suffering. Only those who genuinely love God expresses this fruit. Again! Love! Our lack of patience is often revealed when we have little disappointments or challenges. We often show discontent towards God or People. Patience is very enduring despite unfavorable situations, conditions and circumstances. In any situation however, if we don’t have love in us, we can’t be patient. Patience is not just being able to endure but also our attitude while at it. Lastly, when we are patient, we exude peace.

The New Man – You are very enduring in all situations and circumstances. Even When angry, there is calmness about you. You are more understanding. You don’t indulge in argumentative situations or you let others win arguments because you value the relationship above your ego.

The Old Unregenerate Man – Sometimes aggressive, agitated and never understanding. You always want to have your way, you are often times controlling, you always look to pick on an opportunity to argue your way out of situations. You are sometimes rude.

To have God’s image is to walk in the Spirit because “God is spirit [the Source of life, yet invisible to mankind], and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.” To walk in the Spirit, is to produce these fruits.

But the fruit[a] produced by the Holy Spirit within you is divine love in all its varied expressions: joy that overflows, peace that subdues, patience[d] that endures, kindness[e] in action, a life full of virtue, faith that prevails, gentleness of heart, and strength of spirit. Never set the law above these qualities, for they are meant to be limitless.” Galatians 5:22-23

Prayer – Father Lord, grant me the grace to continually produce your fruit that I may walk with Your IMAGE. Amen
