I say, ‘You are gods; you are all children of the Most High. Psalms 82:6 NLT

Have you ever wondered why God created man on the sixth day and said man is perfect and on the seventh day God rested in Genesis chapter two. God rested? the question you never asked yourself is why would the all powerful God rest. God is spirit and I don’t think spirit needs rest because spirit never gets tired.

Ecclesiastes 8:17

I’m sure God never gets tired, but the question is still out there ”why would God decide to rest”?. I’m sure you are still wondering how!. But what you need to know is that God is still working and would always be working. Jesus made that clear to us in John 5:17 ”my Father has been working until now and I have been working”

So God resting in Genesis 2:2 means God has finished the work of creation, the creation of new things ended when God created man (Genesis 1:27). In essence, God created man as the perfect creation in His image so man could continue the work He started.

God took a step back and give man power and authority over all things he created on earth(Genesis 1:28).

God gave man the charge to continue creation be multiplying and replenishing the earth.

God didn’t stop working, He is still very much Involved in all things. Which means God is always working holding the heaven and earth together, He is the idea, inspiration, and the force that makes all things work and brings all things together (John 1:1-3).

But for us, There is one God, the Father, by whom all things were created, and for whom we live. And there is one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things were created, and through whom we live.
1 Corinthians 8:6 NLT

So, in case you do not know who you are, you are God perfect creation. so perfect that God decided to rest (take a step back) and have you take charge, rule and continue in the creation process. you are a god because you also have the attribute of God the Father (Genesis 1:27)
